Compared to an unmodified camera, significantly shorter exposure times are possible. In a single clear night, many more individual images can be captured, which can later be used for the stacking process. At the same time, more H-Alpha light reaches the sensor during the same exposure time, revealing fine nebula details and faint deep-sky structures that often remain hidden with a standard camera.

The Canon EOS 6Da has been one of the most popular full-frame cameras for astrophotography for many years. The 20-megapixel full-frame sensor impresses with exceptionally low image noise, high light sensitivity, and excellent low-light performance. Especially with faint celestial objects and long astronomical exposures, the Canon 6Da impressively demonstrates its strengths.
Particularly for wide-angle shots of the night sky, the Milky Way, and large deep-sky objects, the full-frame sensor offers clear advantages over smaller APS-C sensors. Due to the larger sensor area, significantly more light can be captured, making finer structures and faint nebula details visible.

Therefore, every camera is cleaned after modification. Although these are used cameras, many of our customers are positively surprised by their optical condition, which is reflected in the reviews.
In this offer, we provide camera bodies with more noticeable optical signs of use at a lower price. This offer is aimed at users who prioritize the technical function and photographic capabilities of the camera and for whom optical wear is less important. Stronger signs of wear on the body are retouched by us with a color-matched special lacquer.
The Canon 6D features a body made of a magnesium alloy. With these professional camera bodies, it is normal for the black paint to wear off over time at heavily used areas—corners or edges—due to carrying on the camera strap or regular use, revealing the gray magnesium alloy underneath. This does not represent a technical defect but is a typical sign of use for professionally used cameras.
The Canon 6D was designed for long-lasting and robust use. Due to its solid mechanical construction and extremely reliable shutter, we are convinced that many of the used bodies available today can still be used meaningfully for many years. Especially for astrophotography, such cameras are often an excellent choice, as technical properties are much more important here than a brand-new external appearance.
Of course, we are also available to you after the warranty period has expired. If the camera develops a defect at a later date, the repair will be carried out in our specialized workshop. Sufficient spare parts are available for the Canon 6D, so repairs are economically feasible if needed.
