Professioneller Umbau Ihrer Canon EOS zur Vollspektrum-Kamera
Seit 2012 haben wir weit über 1000 Stück Canon und Sony zu Astro- und Vollspektrumkameras umgebaut.
Durch die Entfernung sämtlicher werkseitiger Sperrfilter wird die Kamera empfindlich für ultraviolettes Licht (UV), sichtbares Licht sowie infrarotes Licht (IR). Dadurch eröffnen sich vielfältige kreative und technische Möglichkeiten in der Astro-, Infrarot- und UV-Fotografie. Bei dieser Modifikation wird der eigentliche Sensor durch ein vergütetes optisches Glas geschützt, wodurch eine minimal geringere Lichtausbeute und ein vollständiger Schutz des Sensors erreicht werden. Auf dem Bild sehen Sie den Originalsensor (1), den vollständig freigelegten Sensor (2) und den mit Schutzglas versehenen Sensor (3). Unsere modifizierten Kameras ermöglichen:

Technischer Hintergrund
Serienkameras blockieren große Teile des infraroten und ultravioletten Spektrums durch den werkseitigen IR-Sperrfilter.
Bei unserem Vollspektrum-Umbau wird dieser Sperrfilter unter Reinraumbedingungen entfernt. Dadurch wird der Sensor empfindlich für UV-, sichtbares und IR-Licht und kann mit geeigneten Filtern flexibel für unterschiedlichste Anwendungen genutzt werden.

Mikroskopgestützte Demontage
Die Kamera wird unter Reinraumbedingungen mit ESD-geschützten Werkzeugen zerlegt, um Staub, Kratzer oder elektrostatische Schäden zuverlässig zu vermeiden.
Lasergestützte Fokus-Justage
Durch den Filterausbau verändert sich die Sensorebene und wir justieren den Sensor mit professioneller Messtechnik präzise nach Canon-Spezifikation nach, damit:
- Autofokus erhalten bleibt
- Unendlichfokus korrekt funktioniert
- die Schärfe bis in die Bildecken stimmt

Bitte teilen Sie uns nach der Bestellung Ihre E-Mail mit, an die wir Ihnen ein freigemachtes DHL-Etikett zusenden.
- Bringen Sie den Gehäusedeckel an der Kamera an und verpacken Sie die Kamera gut. Zubehör ist nicht erforderlich – bitte entfernen Sie auch den Kameragurt und die Speicherkarte.
- Die Umbauzeit beträgt ca. 7 Werktage ab Eingang der Kamera in unserer Werkstatt.
- Der Rückversand erfolgt als versichertes Paket mit DHL. Sie erhalten eine Sendungsverfolgung.
- Sie erhalten eine Rechnung mit ausgewiesener MwSt. und 2 Jahren Gewährleistung auf den Umbau.

Professional Conversion of Your Canon EOS into a Full-Spectrum Camera
Since 2012, we have professionally converted well over 1,000 Canon and Sony cameras into astrophotography and full-spectrum cameras.
By removing all factory-installed blocking filters, the camera becomes sensitive to ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) light. This opens up a wide range of creative and technical possibilities in astro, infrared, and UV photography. In this modification, the actual sensor is protected by a coated optical glass, resulting in slightly reduced light transmission while providing full protection for the sensor. In the image, you can see the original sensor (1), the fully exposed sensor (2), and the sensor equipped with protective glass (3). For users who prefer the slightly more light-sensitive version (2), we also offer this option in the article “Maximum Light Transmission”.
Our modified cameras enable:
- significantly increased sensitivity in the H-alpha spectrum
- true infrared photography using external IR filters

Compared to a standard camera, this results in:
- shorter exposure times in astrophotography

Technical Background
Standard cameras block large parts of the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum through the factory-installed IR blocking filter.
During our full-spectrum conversion, this blocking filter is removed under cleanroom conditions. As a result, the sensor becomes sensitive to UV, visible, and IR light and can be used flexibly for a wide variety of applications with suitable filters.

After the modification, the camera undergoes precise sensor calibration including:

Precision Modification with Professional Post-Processing
Microscope-Assisted Disassembly
The camera is disassembled under cleanroom conditions using ESD-protected tools in order to reliably prevent dust, scratches, or electrostatic damage.
Laser-Assisted Focus Calibration
Removing the filter changes the sensor position. We therefore precisely recalibrate the sensor using professional measurement equipment according to Canon specifications to ensure that:
- autofocus remains fully functional
- infinity focus works correctly
- sharpness remains accurate up to the image corners

Process
Information about the modification process:
- The price includes insured shipping of your camera to and from our workshop.
After placing your order, please send us your email address so we can provide you with a prepaid DHL shipping label.
- Please attach the body cap to the camera and package it securely. Accessories are not required – please also remove the camera strap and memory card.
- The modification time is approximately 7 business days after the camera arrives at our workshop.
- Return shipping is carried out as an insured DHL parcel. You will receive tracking information.
- You will receive an invoice with VAT shown separately and a 2-year warranty on the modification work.
